This month our artist is Marta from Pani Chaplia's Grade 1/2 Class.

With the help of Pani Kopylets, Marta has created this wonderful piece of artwork to commemorate Remembrance Day.
The piece is meant to employ a number of artistic principals. Using size to emphasize perspective, using different media like watercolours, acrylic, and two dimensional cut-outs, Marta has made a wonderful work that showcases her learning.
The message of the piece contextualizes the lessons of Remembrance Day showing us how soldiers still struggle today in places like Ukraine for the freedom of their people.
